Technical Director

EMSA West is excited to welcome Ernie Cavaliere as Technical Director of their programs. He brings vast experiences from his past roles as Technical Director, Coach, mentor, instructor, administrator and program developer. His involvement over the past 30 plus years at the Provincial, Club, Community and School level will bring a wealth of knowledge available to all our EMSA West teams.

EMSA West is focused on supporting and developing its players, coaches, and teams and is confident that the more tools we have, the stronger we will be. If coaches would like to discuss anything with Ernie or for him to attend a game or practice to provide assistance or feedback, please contact him at erniec@ewzsa.com.

Coaching Multiple Teams

If you are a head coach who decides to coach multiple teams that play on the same day, the EMSA Portal will do its best to accommodate both teams and work it out so that the games do not overlap. However, this is NOT guaranteed to work out perfectly. Due to the many parameters that are in place, the sheer amount of games, and the multiple conflicts we have, there could be a few games that will conflict with one another. The coach will need to be prepared with a backup plan, such as having their assistant coaches or manager take care of one of the teams for those few games. If there are no registered assistant coaches or managers on the team who are able to help out, the EMSA office can write a special permission letter for the conflicting games so that a parent or another coach from a different team can go on the bench and help out that day.
