Financial Assistance

We believe that no child should be left on the sidelines, and everyone should have the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports regardless of their financial/parental situation.

  • KidSportTM provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sports.

Outdoor Season 2025

We have been notified that Canadian Jumpstart will no longer be taking applications for Individual Grants.

We strongly suggest that you apply to KidSport Edmonton as soon as possible.  Applications are processed online and should be done ASAP.

Potential funding:

  • KidSport: up to $250 per year

Please contact your community coordinator for the balance owed. The zone does not accept fees after February 28, 2025 during the Outdoor season. Please contact your community soccer coordinator to ensure your child is placed on a team while funding is being processed.

Indoor Season 2024-25

Starting August 1, 2024, you may start to register your child for the Indoor Season 2024-25. As funding is limited for both Canadian Tire Jumpstart and KidSport Edmonton, we encourage you to put in your application once you have completed the registration for your child(ren).

All funding applications must be completed before September 10, 2024. Registrations made after this date are considered late registrations.

No player will be placed on a team unless EMSA West receives confirmation from KidSport, Jumpstart or any other funding organization that an application has been submitted. If there is a balance outstanding, fees must be paid by September 10, 2024. Payment can be made directly to the office by e-transfer or by calling the office to pay by credit or debit card.

Potential funding:

  • KidSport: maximum of $250 per year, per player. If you were approved for KidSport funding for the Outdoor Season, review your confirmation email to see if you have any funds left.
  • Jumpstart: maximum $600 per year/$300 per season

Payment Arrangements

Starting August 1, 2024, register your child(ren) on the EMSA Soccer Portal, then contact Rosa at the EMSA West office to make arrangements for your child’s registration fees. The first payment is to be made once your child(ren) is registered, and the last payment is completed by November 1, 2024.
