Financial Assistance
We believe that no child should be left on the sidelines, and everyone should have the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports regardless of their financial/parental situation.
- KidSport Edmonton provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sports.
- Canadian Tire Jumpstart will no longer be funding Individual Grants in our Chapter

INDOOR SEASON 2025-26
Starting August 1, 2025, you may start to register your child for the Indoor Season 2025-2026. If you require funding for the season, we encourage you to put in your application once you have completed the registration for your child(ren) to KidSport Edmonton.
All funding applications must be completed before September 5, 2025. Registrations made after this date are considered late registrations.
No player will be placed on a team unless EMSA West receives confirmation from KidSport or any other funding organization that an application has been submitted. If there is a balance outstanding, fees must be paid by September 5, 2025. Payment can be made directly to the office by e-transfer or by calling the office to pay by credit or debit card.
FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES:
- KidSport: maximum of $250 per year, per player. If you were approved for KidSport funding for the Outdoor Season, review what the balance remaining is. Apply for a grant here.
- Their Opportunity: funding amounts range between $150 to $300 per player. The exact amount depends on several key factors:
