We believe that no child should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports.

  • KidSportTM provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport. KidSport
  • Jumpstart

Outdoor

For the OUTDOOR SEASON, please select your community as the funding recipient.

Due to a high volume of requests for financial assistance, both organizations ran out of funds in the last two seasons. We strongly suggest that you apply for funding as soon as possible. You apply online directly to the organization. Applications should be completed before February 29th. We recommend you apply for both Jumpstart and KidSport. (see above for links)

If you require assistance with your application, please contact your community coordinator.

Potential funding:

  • KidSport (up to $250 per year)
  • Jump Start (up to $600 per year/$300 per season)
  • Please contact your community coordinator for the balance owing.

The zone does not accept fees during the Outdoor season. Please contact your Community Soccer Coordinator to ensure your child is placed on a team while funding is being processed.

Indoor Season 2024-25

Starting August 1, 2024, you may start to register your child for the Indoor Season 2024-25. As funding is limited for both Canadian Tire Jumpstart and KidSport Edmonton, we encourage you to put in your application once you have completed the registration for your child(ren).

All funding applications must be complete before Sept 10, 2024.  All registrations after this date are considered late registrations.

No player will be placed on a team unless EWZSA (emsaWest) receives confirmation from KidSport, Jumpstart or any other funding organization that an application has been submitted. If there is a balance outstanding, fees must be paid by Sept 10, 2024. Payment can be made directly to the office by e-transfer or calling the office to pay by credit card or debit.

Funding:

  • KidSport: maximum of $250 per year per player. If you were approved for KidSport funding for the Outdoor Season, review your confirmation email if you have any funds left.
  • Jump Start: maximum $600 per year/$300 per season

Payment Arrangements

Starting August 1, 2024, once you have registered your child(ren) on the EMSA Soccer Portal, contact Rosa at the EMSA West office to make arrangements for your child’s registration fees. First payment is to be made once child(ren) is registered, with the last payment date being by November 1, 2024.

For additional funding information, please contact Rosa in finance: finance@ewzsa.com

We believe that no child should be left on the sidelines. All kids should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports regardless of their financial/parental situation.
