U4 Indoor Community Soccer Program

Teams play once a week (Sundays are tentative) from mid-October through the end of January at the FX Sports Centre.

The development of any athlete starts with physical literacy and their ability to run, skip, and jump. The first 20 minutes of each game consist of skills and drills, including physical literacy and the ABCs of movement: Agility, Balance and Coordination. These are key components to focus on and help teach utilizing the ball. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children if needed.

Volunteer coaches are to attend a coaching course free of charge for this age group. Age-appropriate drills and skills will be taught, often done through gameplay with the ball.

Three is a 30-minute game with two 15-minute halves. Field dimensions are reduced, and the rules are limited to enable the players to focus on developing movement patterns rather than game and tactics.
